Wrestling Coaching Staff

Ty Tatham was born in Laramie, Wyoming, and graduated high school from Rocky Mountain HS in Fort Collins in 1982. He received his bachelor’s degree from Western State College in Physical Education with an emphasis in Sports and Health sciences and a minor in Biology in 1987. He also earned his teaching license in Physical Education from Western State College in 1989. He is a graduate of the University of New Mexico where he earned a Master of Science in 1992 in Physical Education with an emphasis in Sports Administration.

He began his teaching career at Sandia High School in Albuquerque, N.M. in 1992, where he was a Science teacher. He has been in the St. Vrain district since 1994, teaching both Physical Education and Science at Longmont High School before come to Mead High School in 2009.

Coach Tatham began his career in coaching at Western State College as an Assistant Wrestling coach in 1986, were he also wrestled.  He left WSC in 1989 to assist at the University of New Mexico while pursuing his master’s degree. In 1992 he became the Head Coach at Sandia high school in Albuquerque. In 1994 he took the Head Wrestling job at Longmont high school, where he was also an assistant football from 2003-2009, before coming to Mead in 2009. Mr. Tatham is married to Jennifer who teaches Elementary Physical Education in SVVSD.  He has three children.

Philosphy-of-Coaching


Coach MontanoVictor Montano has been an assistant wrestling coach with St. Vrain Valley school district for since 2003.  He began his coaching career with Ty Tatham at Longmont High school and was honored to make the move along with him to Mead High school in 2009.

Victor was a Two-Time district champion and a Two-Time State qualifier when he wrestled for Roosevelt High school in Johnstown, CO.

Even though he would like to think about wrestling full-time, his chosen full-time profession is retail sales. Victor is married to Valerie who works at Ball Aerospace.

Brian Bianco is from Cape May, NJ and graduated from Lower Cape May Regional HS. He was 4X Starter 90-94, a 1X Region Qualifier, and had 80+ wins at the varsity level.  He was also a 3X Greco NJ National Team Member. He wrestled in college at George Mason University Wrestling from 1994-96 and was a member of 1994-95 Colonial Athletic Conference Champions. He got his degree from George Mason Univ. in Physical Education and a master degree from Indiana State Univ. in Recreation Sport Management. He has coached previously at  Lake Braddock High School as an assistant coach and at Fairfax HS, Va. from 1996-99. He is married, his wife is an elementary teacher and has 1 son and daughter. He teaches Elementary PE at Legacy Elementary.
